Christine Holden
MA Fine Art
Christine is a contemporary illustrative artist.
With a focus on cityscapes and the origins of buildings, she has an interest in the unremarkable, the ordinary and the mundane with particular attention to detail in drawing freehand, reportage, observational and editorial. She enjoys the challenge of working to and creating her own briefs. Her work explores nostalgia through buildings as containers of human experience and memories, in the context of suburbia.
Christine works in mixed media, often reflecting the mashed-up, aesthetical arrangement of the simple and historical cityscapes, the ordinary extraordinary and the melancholy of suburban living.
