I am an MA Games graduate with a specialism in environment design and 3D art. I have a lot of experience with 3D modelling in Maya, Zbrush, and Marvelous Designer, texturing in Substance Painter and Designer and lighting and blueprinting in UE4. My Masters has allowed me to deepen my understanding of pipeline processes and improve all my technical and artistic skills.
During my MA, I experimented with compositions, light, colours, and, first of all, ideas. My main goal was to develop my own creative and storytelling methods to create meaningful and atmospheric environments using my background, cultural connotations, and psychological approaches.
I have started with the idea of architectural stylisation method for fantasy game art; continued with lighting and colour experimenting for a deeper understanding of how they can create a scene’s mood; and finished with a psychological environment idea.
I consider my work Mental Attic to be my main gem, as it demonstrates my progress in all skills, as well as the unusual idea of combining the game environment with introspection and a kind of psychological self-portrait.
