Outstanding Contribution to the MA Community
During my MA course in Curation at the Norwich University of the Arts, I realised that my passion lies in Arts Education Programmes and Cross Border Creative Development. This stems from my own personal experience as an international student.
Specialising in Curation has allowed me to explore an entrepreneurial role, as I have come to understand first hand the struggles that emerging artists face when first starting their professional careers and their need for a more inclusive environment.
From that same entrepreneurial and creative streak and my love of sharing stories, I founded the NUA SU Conversations Society. The experience enabled me to work side by side with the Students Union and other students at NUA and to share their unique voices and stories. This has given me an early understanding of how complex a project can be.
Furthermore, the placement at East Gallery has given me invaluable experience: it offered the opportunity to experience working in a professional environment, getting insight on how a gallery is run, but it also reinforced the idea that I have a passion for bringing people together in different way within the arts field.
