Gwen Davis is a Norwich based artist who completed her bachelor’s degree in English Literature with Creative Writing in 2018 at the University of East Anglia.

Bringing together the disciplines of creative writing and painting, her work explores the dialogue between the two, using personal prose to inform her visual work.

Using autoethnography as a research methodology, this body of work is an attempt to reconstruct memories of locations related to personal trauma in order to reclaim past experiences. Each painting has a corresponding passage of writing.
