I am an award-winning designer whose main interests lie within illustration and craftsmanship. My process and working methods lend themselves well to working independently but also in a collaborative environment, with a positive motivation towards any brief. I am confident in areas such as screen printing, woodwork, painting and drawing.
My work has developed significantly throughout my MA, exploring ideas and concepts around psychological influences and how we respond to environments, with a specific interest in children’s perception of the world. I strive to produce work which uses sustainable processes and materials as I am passionate about conservation and preserving local histories.
Recently, I was selected as one of the ‘28 emerging illustrators to look out for in 2021’ from the Creative Boom Magazine. I also won the Royal Society of the Arts student design awards in 2019, for my project ‘Create Together’. A station design and revamp of Acle train station, Norfolk. In 2020, I was shortlisted out of over 4,000 entries for the Association of Illustration, World Illustration Awards for my project Ziran, which aims to educate children on the impact of the textile industry.
I will also be painting a mural at the beginning of 2021, for the North Walsham Memorial Hospital focusing on natural themes. This will be on a wall which patients windows face. The hospital is currently used for recovery from Covid-19, so I am excited to help the wellbeing of these patients through my artwork.
