I’m a visual communicator who specialises in branding, social media marketing and campaign creation. I am passionate about social issues and using my privilege to raise awareness through design communication.
In this campaign I wanted to show how designing for social impact can serve not one but dual causes. In this case the rise in Gun Culture juxtaposed with fast fashion and the ‘throwaway’.
In this campaign I wanted to showcase design for social justice, whilst coinciding with the creation of a community. In this case, the rise in Gun Culture is sandwiched in between a promotional image to join the club. In this campaign, I aimed to rethink traditional modes of design to develop something that appeared unlikely or puzzling – therefore creating an enigma to build the viewer’s interest.
My Masters Degree has given me the opportunity to expand my social activism through design and I have built a portfolio of skills and a problem solving mindset to take with me in my work post MA.
I pride myself in understanding audiences and the need to respond to their lifestyle and desires through effective design. I understand market and audience research methodologies and how to apply them to adaptable campaigns that move with the audiences’ feelings and interests. I am skilled at working on offline and online marketing campaigns and have a professional background in social media marketing.
