MA Textile Design
Victoria is a multi-disciplinary creative with a BA in Illustration and a master’s degree in Textile Design from Norwich University of the Arts.
She creates playful, accessible, and desirable contemporary screen-printed lifestyle pieces in a range of tactile mediums.
Victoria’s work has been photographed by NUA alumni Kerry Curl, Chris Roberts, Michael Morgan, and Sophia Kapoor. Her work has featured in Original Magazine and been exhibited at Circle Space in Norwich.
Patterned Nostalgia is focused on honest, accessible and joyful surface pattern design applied to a range of surfaces; textiles, wood, Jesmonite and Herculite. The collection is spontaneous and created around Victoria’s emotional response to nostalgia and the everyday occurrences that she notices as a designer.
The work is fun expressive and playful; which matches her personality. Each colour, shape and motif has been carefully chosen and holds a deeper meaning to Victoria, providing a sense of comfort, joy and sentimentality. But overall, she’s happy for you to enjoy her work as a form of escapism and something pleasing to look at.
