Luke Syder
MA Moving Image and Sound
I’m an editor of all trades specialising from visuals to audio, based in Norwich, UK. I have 10+ years of experience of Film studies which involved me working with many clients, colleagues and peers throughout the country and locally. I have filmed for bands, businesses, local DJs, and even the BBC to promote the Norwich Gaming Festival back in 2017.
I have a great field of skills in editing a range of content from full length projects such as Documentaries and Short films, and multiple social media platforms and graphic design. I am training to edit and create films on Unreal Engine, and I am currently working on an interactive film project which is in development.
I am a great team player and I thrive on taking on daily challenges, as well as working independently on the many projects I have taken on through the years. Both of which really build on my great sense of creativity and motivation.
I have a budding interest in films, television and games. I have always been fascinated with the creation of characters and vast locations entirely in CG especially as of recent with ILM’s innovations in movie making technologies.
As of August 2023, I have completed a Masters Course in Moving Image and Sound, and I am a holder of a BA (Hons) degree with a grade of 2:1 in Film and Moving Image Production at Norwich University of the Arts.
During my 6 years of study at Norwich University of the Arts, I have taken on a range of roles from: directing, producing, camera operator, sound operator and editor. I was recently presented an award for “Best Factual” at the ‘Royal Television Society East Student Awards 2022’ for my graduating documentary “Levelling Up: The OLL Story” which was my directorial debut, commending my direction and visions I put to screen.
